WHY: The Scottsdale Society of Women Writers gives members access to events of interest, a format for exchanging ideas, an opportunity to network with other women writers and authors, an alliance with businesses relating to writing, publishing, camaraderie and support.
SPEAKER: Two-Time Best Selling Author, Translational Strategist, and Founder of award-winning K-12 StarShine Academy Schools, Trish McCarty, is known for “The StarShine Effect.”
A successful business entrepreneur, educator, author, transformational strategy leader and Yoga teacher discusses writing as a business and as your calling card to build credibility with your expertise. Trish will discuss how she accidentally, by divine guidance, began her mission to transform K-12 education by designing curriculum that empowers students to be excellent learners and to take students, teachers and schools to a new level of excellence. Her latest best-selling book, Transform, with Brian Tracy was a collaborative book. She will discuss how she was included in this effort and what she learned from the process with Brian Tracy, one of the great personal development authors of today. Trish will discuss her experience in writing for her own healing, for coursework development for her own Quintessential Institute Leaders Training, for improvement in K-12 education and to achieve Best Seller. She will also talk about synergy and how Harvard became her publisher of The StarShine Effect.
Trish McCarty is an entrepreneur, business leader, Yoga teacher and K-12 Innovation Expert. She has traveled the world, beginning in her Air Force family, giving her a world perspective regarding human transformation and healing. She began to write corporate training courses to improve banking and management processes and was asked by John Wiley to write for their first U.S. Library Internet Encyclopedias to include her chapter on Strategic Alliances. Trish McCarty is an Arizona State University Lincoln Center Fellow, and StarShine is included in the ASU SKYSONG Innovation Center. She has worked with the United Nations for over ten years and has taught StarShine Quintessential Leadership courses in China, the U.K., Ireland, Sudan, Liberia, Mexico and has held international leadership training courses, particularly in K-12 leadership, in Phoenix for the past eight years. She has been recognized as LA Music Awards Humanitarian of the Year, Arizona Interfaith Golden Rule Award, Phoenix Theater, A Woman Who Cares and INC 100 Fastest Growing Companies among others.

CHECK-IN: Please check-in between 5:00 and 5:45. The meeting starts promptly at 6:00. All those attending the meeting must pay for the dinner/room/speaker – cost noted above. Pick up your name badge at the front table and ENJOY a wonderful night!

From the 101 freeway exit Chaparral Rd and go west. Just prior to Scottsdale Rd enter the side drive at 4th Floor Grille – take that elevator. Note awning marked 4th Floor Grille on the Chaparral side. This is the easiest way – NOT through the main lobby. Welcome!
