Have you ever wanted to write a memoir? You can find out how to turn your
memories into written magic at a writing workshop on Saturday, November 6th at the
downtown Chandler Public Library from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
This exciting workshop is presented by Patricia L. Brooks, author, speaker, publishing
consultant and president/founder of the Scottsdale Society of Women Writers
www.plbrooks.com and www.brooksgoldmannpublishing.com and the Friends of the
Chandler Library.
Workshop participants will learn what memoir story is, what memoir writing is
and its significance in their lives. According to Ms. Brooks, “Writers will develop a
greater connection within their families by providing a more full and personal sense of
who they are in their writing. They will take away information on the passages of writing
and learn how to put the memoir story together with events and emotional beats.”
The cost of the event is $25.00 for members of the Friends and $30.00 for nonmembers and includes continental breakfast. Participants will receive a quality writing
workshop at a very affordable price and get to support the library at the same time.
Interested participants can download the registration form and view the workshop
details at www.chandlerlibrary.org.
Register by November 3rd to secure a seat at this unique workshop. For more information, contact the Friends at 480-782-2771, or the Scottsdale Society of Women Writers at patricia@plbrooks.com or cell 480-250-5556.
