Mission:  Scottsdale Society of Women Writers gives members access to events of interest, a format for exchanging ideas, an opportunity to network with other women writers/authors in camaraderie and support, and an alliance with professionals for writing, publishing, and marketing.

SPEAKER HOLLY PARSONS:  Holly Parsons has been writing and reading poetry for over 15 years. For 5 years she acted as sub-editor and feature writer for the Fiji Sun. As Editorial Assistant at the University of the South Pacific she designed and edited the quarterly “Journal.” Additional roles include inaugural editor of Prime Times Magazine, founding publisher and managing editor of Idyllwild Life Magazine, and contributor to the Idyllwild Town Crier 2018- 2025. www.hollyparsons.com

 

Holly Parsons will present her new book Labyrinth: A Quest for light to SSWW. She will share her writing journey and give us tips on how her poetry has evolved.

Inspired by feminine mysticism, cosmic alchemy and life experience, this collection explores my personal yet universal journey leading to transcendence and personal sovereignty within the spacious genre of magical realism.

VENUE: The meeting is at the CHOMPIE’S at 9301 E. Shea Blvd., at the corner of 92nd St. and Shea, Scottsdale.

GUESTS: If you have a GUEST, please text Patricia on 480-250-5556, or have your guest contact her directly. Guests may visit on two occasions, and then we ask them to join us as full-time members.

PRICING: Meeting cost is now $25.00: this covers the wonderful food and the spacious room. The menu will consist of a wonderful buffet, a special dessert, and a variety of beverages. I will be changing the menu each month to keep it interesting.

DUES: Dues are $50. For your membership, you a copy of the directory, member support at all Scottsdale Society of Women Writers events, and other happenings for the local writing community. A plethora of professional speakers appear throughout the year.
