_____________________________________________________________________

SPEAKERS 6:45: Five years ago, Jennifer Kahtz “fired” her boss and hired herself. Tired of working in an unfulfilling career in the medical field, she decided to pursue her dream of helping to create positive social change. The question remained: how could she do this and still pay the bills? That’s when Emotive Pull Communications was born.  Jennifer observed the power of human connection in her life, and knew that if she could harness that power, she could help heart-centered businesses break free from mediocrity and change the status quo. She does this by helping companies to emotionally connect to their audience, then strategically positioning them to be successful. She helps businesses uncover their why, soul, and mission so that people become endeared to their brand.

In today’s talk, Jennifer will be sharing an experiential story about how she transitioned from the medical profession into a self-taught writing career and the creation of her own marketing content business, Emotive Pull Communications.

She’ll relate real-life experiences that reveal: (1) the journey of creating a new reality and the twists and turns that taught her how to create content that really pulls an audience emotionally, whether it’s for a book, author or business (2) how she turned her passion into an income in hopes that you will learn something that will help you on your own journey (3) the societal myths that hold us back from taking the action steps necessary to do what we really want to do (4) why creating communications based on emotional psychology is so effective (5) how she makes a living teaching other how to create content that sells

She’ll share solutions for how to: (1) write great book titles/taglines that people want to buy (2) stand out from the competition  (3) create compelling blog titles with language that pulls your specific audience based on their emotional drivers (4) add personal writing into your blogs while keeping it professional, along with essential blog dos and don’ts  www.emotivepull.com

SPEAKERS 6:45: Betty Webb is the author of 10 Lena Jones mysteries

(DESERT REDEMPTION, DESERT WIVES, etc.) and 5 Gunn Zoo mysteries

(THE OTTER OF DEATH, THE PUFFIN OF DEATH, etc.).

For 20 years Betty was a journalist, interviewing everyone from U.S. presidents, astronauts who walked on the moon, and polygamy runaways. A nationally-syndicated literary critic whose reviews ran on the New York Times wire for more than 30 years, she currently reviews for Mystery Scene Magazine.

Betty is a member of the National Federation of Press Women, Mystery Writers of America, and the Authors Guild. She might call her talk “The Uncertainty of the Writing Life.”

SPEAKERS 6:45:  Ginger Scott is an Amazon-bestselling Author, Goodreads Choice Award and Rita award-nominated author of several young and new adult romances. A sucker for a good love story, Ginger’s other passion is sports, and she often blends the two in her stories. She has been writing and editing for a helluva long time, and has told the stories of Olympians, politicians, actors, scientists, cowboys, criminals and towns. For more on her and her work, visit her website at http://www.littlemisswrite.com. Ginger lives in Arizona and is married to her college sweetheart, whom she met at ASU (fork ’em, Devils). If you can’t find her, check the baseball diamond.

Ginger will share her publishing story, from what sparked her interest in writing YA fiction to how she made the leap from journalist and marketing professional to profitable author. She self-published her first novel in 2013 and is now a full-time, bestselling and award-winning author with nearly 20 titles to her name. Ginger will talk about marketing avenues she found to work best along the way and share her best do’s and don’ts in self-publishing. This talk will be very interactive, and participant questions are encouraged.
