WHY: Mission: Scottsdale Society of Women Writers gives members access to events of interest, a format for exchanging ideas, an opportunity to network with other women writers/authors in camaraderie and support, and an alliance with professionals for writing, publishing, and marketing.
SPEAKER: Tamara Hamil is a published author, speaker, and Talent Acquisition Advisor known for
her powerful message of resilience, healing, and personal transformation. She is the
author of Backbone and Breaking Cycles, a deeply moving memoir that chronicles her
journey through trauma, survival, and purpose. Through her work, she inspires others to
turn adversity into strength and pain into growth. Tamara also brings professional
expertise in leadership, career development, and personal empowerment. She speaks
nationally on healing, resilience, and breaking generational barriers.
Tamara Hamil will share insights from her powerful book Backbone and Breaking Cycles. Her
presentation explores themes of resilience, healing, and transforming life’s challenges

VENUE: The meeting is at the CHOMPIE’S at 9301 E. Shea Blvd., at the corner of 92nd St. and Shea, Scottsdale.

PRICING: Meeting cost is now $30.00: this covers the wonderful food, tax and 20% tip, and the spacious room. The menu consists of a tasty buffet, a special dessert, and a variety of beverages. I will be changing the menu each month to keep it interesting.
DUES: Dues will stay the same in 2026 at $50. For your membership, you receive a copy of the directory, member support at all SSWW events, and other happenings for the local writing community. A plethora of professional speakers appear throughout the year.
