TOPIC: Finding and Holding to Your Authentic Voice as a Writer, Especially When Dealing with Difficult Editors. Caroline Joy Adams grew up immersed in the New York book publishing world, as her father was an editor with a major house. She will discuss her many experiences in the publishing world, as her three books have been published in different editions, both hardcover and paperback, by various publishers, including large houses, mid-sized and smaller scale publishers, in the US and Great Britain. She will focus on her own journey as a writer, and discuss how you, too, as a writer can keep your authentic voice flowing throughout the writing and editing process; how to handle interactions with difficult editors, and how to learn and grow from each editing situation you encounter, from the most challenging and uncomfortable to the most helpful and positive.
