This informative presentation covers the laws that affect writers, photographers, and other creators. Learn how to avoid making common, costly legal mistakes when publishing content, including issues related to digital and online materials. This presentation will cover the legal implications of AI, copyrights, fair use, getting permission, and even submission agreements and publishing contracts.
Maria Crimi Speth is an attorney with over 35 years of experience who focuses her practice on intellectual property law. She has won many awards and recognition including being named in the Best Lawyers in America list for ten consecutive years. Maria is the author of Protect Your Writings: A Legal Guide for Authors and Protect Your Photographs: A Legal Guide for Photographers.

For your membership, you will receive a copy of the directory, the monthly newsletter, member support at all Scottsdale Society of Women Writers events, and other happenings with the group.
