WHY: Mission: Scottsdale Society of Women Writers gives members access to events of interest, a format for exchanging ideas, an opportunity to network with other women writers/authors in camaraderie and support, and an alliance with professionals for writing, publishing, and marketing.
SPEAKERS: No Apologies Inc. We’re Sam and Mandy, the duo behind No Apologies Inc, a brand dedicated to helping entrepreneurs build lifelong friendships with people they can do business and have fun. As part of our effort to help entrepreneurs enjoy fulfilling, profitable, and peaceful relationships, we host events dedicated to fostering genuine connections through playing a simple question card game we developed—at these events, the question, “What do you do?” is forbidden. We’ve authored several books about relationships and networking—our most recent being The Invisible Network, which details our entire 5-part relationship system for building, maintaining, and repairing relationships. Through the power of relationships both in-person and on social media, we’ve achieved over $100,000 in book sales and had plenty of fun doing it.

At this talk by Sam and Mandy of No Apologies Inc, they’ll be breaking down why “traditional” networking sets writers up for failure by preventing them from doing the one thing that will put book sales under their belts and money in their pockets—building genuine relationships with other people. They’ll cover exactly how to build these relationships with people who are also willing to pay you, and how to ask for the sale cleanly and directly. PRICING: Meeting cost is $30.00: this covers the wonderful food, tax and 20% tip, and the spacious room. The menu consists of a tasty buffet, a special dessert, and a variety of beverages. I will be changing the menu each month to keep it interesting.
GUESTS: If you have a GUEST, please text Patricia on 480-250-5556, or have your guest contact her directly. Guests may visit on two occasions, and then we ask them to join us as full-time members.
DUES: Dues will stay the same in 2026 at $50.00. For your membership, you receive a copy of the directory, member support at all SSWW events, and other happenings for the local writing community. A plethora of professional speakers appear throughout the year.
